@Fachh If you are having trouble with OCD yourself or any anxiety related disorder PLEASE contact me. I would love to help you. I have spent over a thousand hours practicing meditation and meditation related things.
Simple mindfulness practice throughout the day help ease the mind. It is recommended that Samadhi (concentration) should be practice to enhance and to support the mindfulness(Sati) practice. Mindfulness will not work to it efficiency level without concentration or Samadhi practice as I and others have experienced. Both should be practice together as @itamarberman said

I overcame OCD by doing behavior therapy on myself.
Fast forward six years and I have been blissfully practicing meditation for about two years. More than ever am I seeing parallels in my practice and my behavioral therapy done at the time of my sickness I truly felt like my life was hell on earth.
I applaud this video and look forward to hearing more.

i just wanted to add i am an example when he talks about depression episodes and using mindfulness meditation as a therapy and even though i havent mastered this yet i am a lot more at peace and have much better patience and an overall better quality of life mentally and physically because of this. i also enjoy many things i’ never had the courage to do before. thanks for this video as it helps give deeper insight on the mechanics! =)

When nervous and/or in an anxiety state, focus on your breathing a.k.a meditate. When practicing this many times (couple of weeks/months) it becomes unconsciously automatic, thus greatly reducing (and even eliminating) social anxiety/phobia depending on how often the exercise is practiced.

@hypnotherapyinlondon it is actually not safe to talk in public. we are opening ourselves to nasty people who find friends by talking crap about any target . Unless we have pre adopted the atitude that every other person is either the same or way more stupid or nastier than oneself and you dont give a hoot . dont do it.. and if you talk with passion they will love you.. the bigger idiot you make of yourself and the more mistakes you do the more they love you cos they feel they identify.
@hypnotherapyinlondon We dont live in tribes or extended families anty more. And our society likes to vomit thetr opinion good or bad about who is on stage. And then suddenly one day we are supposed to get up and do it. Its an unfamiliar invironment! ok i surf no problem but let me put you in the big waves 1 km out in the ocean. or let me put you in a parachute and chuck you out the plane. slowly slowly mate let us walk bit by bit. It is of course frivolous to presume that people from the east are in the habit of practising these techniques universally. These are Buddhist techniques of mind training, not islamic, zoroastrian, hindu or shinto. They are specifically Buddhist. The Eastern connection is superficial and incidental. There is nothing about a Pakistani muslim which has anything to do with this meditative process.
Training muscles or mind to be ”better” at some activity is self evident, not mysterious.
