(CTW) -- Amidst the second worst recession in United States history, regular people are turning to the internet to take advantage of ways to greatly reduce their debt.

Consumer Tips Weekly

James, an ordinary father from Boston, MA discovered a clever trick to reduce his credit card debt by 70%.

Thanks to the trick he discovered, thousands of people have been able to avoid bankruptcy for free, in less than 10 minutes.

Step 1:

First Fill out the quick application for Debt Safari

Step 2:

Then fill out the application for Fix Your Credit

(This is key. Use both these services for greater debt relief like James. Make them compete with each other.)

James, a laid off Ford auto worker and father of two, is one such person. It all started about one year ago when his boss informed him along with 3251 other Auto Workers that they would soon be out of jobs. Ford had decided to close down another automobile plant. Needless to say, James was devastated. Fifteen years of hard work and loyalty had come to this. He was now out of a job and unable to support his family. He racked up over $20,000 in credit card debt in a one year period. But, as we'll see James came up with a clever way to get two different debt relief companies -- Debt Safari and Fix Your Credit -- to compete in order to reduce his debt by 70%.

This is His Story.

After being laid off, he was still determined to find a way for him and his family to survive in these economic times. He polished up his resume and went job hunting every second day, he turned to employment agencies, yet it seemed like no one was willing to hire a 42 year old from the auto manufacturing industry.

How Did James End up in Debt?

And this is when things took a turn for the worse. Four months after losing his job, James and his wife had completely run out of savings. There was no way they could continue paying their $1015 per month mortgage and the utility bills that accompanied it, let alone provide food and clothing for their two sons. With nothing left to do, they had no choice but to turn to their high interest credit cards with the hope that James would eventually find a job and be able to pay it all back.

Daily cash advances from credit cards had become common place and were used to make payments on their mortgage and utility bills. They even ended up having to take out cash from their credit cards to make the minimum payments on their credit cards.

James recalls, "I couldn't believe it had gotten this bad. I would go to the bank and take out money from my credit card just to put it back in the bank machine as a payment towards my credit card. It's the only way I was able to make the minimum payments on time. I couldn't understand how it had gotten this bad. It was embarassing."

But just as their last two credit cards were about to be maxed out, James found a job as a security guard. It didn't pay much but it was enough to pay for some of the bills. Unfortunately, by this time the minimum payments on their credit cards had already skyrocketed to over $300 per month (most of which was interest). They owed over $20,000 on 7 different credit cards and couldn't even keep up with all the bills being sent to their home. Because of this they ended up missing several minimum payments, and their card balances were sent off to collection agencies. They started receiving harassing collection calls throughout the day and would avoid picking up the phone.

James says, "It was terrible, imagine sitting down eating dinner with your children and suffering from anxiety every time the phone rang. I prayed for the debt collectors to stop calling..."

By now James figured their credit rating was already destroyed and so bankruptcy seemed like the only option left. He went online and started reading about filing for bankruptcy. He read for hours on end and found out that bankruptcy probably wouldn't be the best option. Sure if he declared bankruptcy he might not have to pay all the debt back but he would be blacklisted by banks, and have to jump through a bunch of hoops to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy. He might even have to hire a lawyer.

So he started looking for other ways out. He told his friend Bill about his financial dilemma. Bill told him he'd known people who had recently gone through the same thing and got out of it by contacting debt relief companies. So James went online and started reading reviews about debt relief agencies. That's when he found the secret way to reduce his family's debt by 70%.

The Secret He Discovered to Reduce Debt by 70%

He made a list of the top 10 debt relief companies by reading reviews and comments by other people, and decided he would make them compete with each other to maximize his debt reduction. His strategy was ingenious. Most people only sign up to one debt relief company, they never sign up to more than one. James' plan was to sign up to the best debt relief agencies and then inform them that he had already contacted other debt relief agencies. This way, he would get them to compete to lower his debt by the greatest amount. He would eliminate debt relief agencies if they took too long to contact him, or if they didn't agree to help him improve his credit rating. In the end, he was left with Debt Safari and Fix Your Credit competing for his business. When Debt Safari called him up with an offer to reduce his credit card debt by 70% and to help him fix his credit rating he took it. Since then, him and his wife have completely paid off the remaining $6,000 instead of the original $21,000 in debt that they owed.

"My wife was amazed that no one else knew about this secret. People always make banks compete for the best mortgage rate, why shouldn't the best debt relief companies compete to lower the amount of your debt? After going through a big list of debt relief companies, I've found that you only have to use Debt Safari and Fix Your Credit to get your debt reduced by the maximum amount. Just make sure you inform them that you're talking with other debt relief agencies when they contact you." says James.

"Having $20,000 in debt over my family's head was a huge burden. I couldn't sleep at night. I thought bankruptcy was our only option until my friend Bill told me that I could contact debt relief agencies. That's when I found an amazing way to get the two best debt relief agencies to compete with one another to get our debts consolidated and reduced by the maximum amount. They ended up getting our debts consolidated and reduced by 70%! Not only that, but they helped us fix our credit rating as well. We've managed to pay off the remainder of our debt, and I can't even put the relief we feel into words. Not to mention the collection calls have stopped too."

Online debt relief companies are DESPERATE for new clients and are willing to compete for your business. You can and should take advantage of these Debt Relief Companies just like James.
